Palliative Care

Palliative care is defined as relieving the symptoms of a disease/disorder at any stage of an illness.  Working with the family (and referring veterinarian, if needed), we compose a plan for in home care that meets the needs of the pet and the caregiving family. Research shows that palliative care can speed the recovery from an illness, if a cure is possible.  Palliative care will also aid in the transition to hospice care, if the diagnosis is considered terminal.
